Wilma (Jo) Dawson, 67, of Claysville, Pa. died at 5:30 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 in The Donnell House, Washington, Pa. after a hard fought battle with a cancer related illness diagnosed this past Easter.She was born January 20, 1945 in East Finley Twp. (Good Intent), Washington Co. Pa. a daughter of the late Delbert Lemoyne and Iva Mildred Farabee Wood and had been a resident of the Claysville area for approximately 40 years.Ms. Dawson was a 1963 graduate of McGuffey High School.She was an employee of the former RC and Family Personal Care Home, former Gashel's Market the former Byers Market all in Claysville prior to retiring in September 2011.Ms. Dawson was a member of the Claysville V.F.D. Auxiliary for over 30 years, a 12 year member and currently serving as 2nd Vice President of the Claysville American Legion Post 639 Auxiliary.She was an active member and volunteer with the American Cancer Society Relay 4 Life in the Chartiers-Houston and McGuffey branches and enjoyed daily walks and the time spent with her family.Ms.Dawson was formerly married to Michael Dawson of Amity.Also surviving are a daughter, Sandra, wife of Raymond Cook of Amity; a son, Phillip Todd, husband of Denise Dawson of Martins Ferry, Ohio; four grandchildren, Alex and Nathan Dawson, Noel, wife of Bob Crowe and Raymond Cook, Jr.; two great grandchildren, Ivy and Levi Crowe; four sisters, Jane Milliken of Dallas, W.Va., Mary Csurilla of Elm Grove, W.Va., Judy, wife of John Francis of West Alexander and Cathy, wife of Jim Ankrom of Sommerset, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents are a brother, Harold Farabee; two sisters, Doris Clark and Iva (Midge) Shaler.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 331 S.
