William “Roger” Parry, II. was called home by the Lord, June 4, 2020, at Transitions Personal Care Home in Washington.
He was born July 23, 1935, in Holbrook, the son of the late William Roger and Genevieve (Nelson) Parry.
Roger lived in Nineveh and Bethel Park, then later in Charleston, WV. He worked for Columbia Gas, and before retiring, he was the director of the credit union. After retiring in 1990, he moved back to the family farm in Greene County. Roger was a member of several organizations, including, being a Son of the American Revolution, a Mason and a Shriner. He also belonged to the Grange and Elks Club. He was an outdoorsman -- known as very adventurous -- and a ham radio operator. Roger married Rosalie Phillips and they were married until her passing in 1985. He later married Linda Smith and they were married until her passing in 2017.
He is survived by daughter, Susan Knisely, of Washington; grandchildren: Brian Knisely (Kayla Thornburg) of Washington, Sean Knisely (Amelia) of Charleton, W.V., Adam Campbell of Daytona Beach, Fl., Ron Campbell (Tara) of Rockwell, NC. and Elizabeth Campbell of Charleston, W.V.; 12 great-grandchildren; his brother, Ron Parry (Loma), of Washington.
In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Barbara Campbell, who passed in 2007
A graveside service will be held June 7, 2020 at 1:30 p.m., at Rosemont Cemetery, Center Twp. Arrangements have been entrusted to Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181.
