William Carroll

William L. Carroll, 75, of Washington, Pa. and formerly of Lone Pine died at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, December 25, 2011 in the Kade Nursing Home, Washington, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several months.He was born November 6, 1936 in Newark, N.J. a son of the late Oakley Leland and Virginia Mabel Goslau Carroll.Mr. Carroll was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Verona, N.J. and was a graduate of Cedar Grove (N.J.) High School.He enjoyed repairing old televisions and refurnishing furniture as long as his health permitted.Mr. Carroll was last employed as a security guard by Allied Security from 1978 until 1992 at the ICI Americus Plant in 84, Pa.On October 14, 1976 he married Dolores E. Bissett Smith who survives.Also surviving are a step-daughter, Amy Smith of Rogersville; a brother, Howard, husband of Sarah Carroll of Linhurst, N. J.; a niece, Chris, wife of Jason Brower of Easton, Pa.Deceased in addition to his parents are a step-son, David Wayne Smith; a brother, Warren R. (Bobby) Carroll.
