William "Bill" E. Patterson, Iii.

William “Bill” Patterson, III., age 33, of Waynesburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 4, 2017.

Born October 26, 1983, in Waynesburg, PA, he is the son of William Patterson, Jr. and Melinda Jeffries.

Bill was a 2002 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School where he played football and ran track and field. His football team won the PIAA Championship. He attended Rosedale Technical Institute where he studied Automotive and Diesel and became a Master Technician. Bill was employed at Bortz Chevrolet as a Subaru Tech. for the last 14 years. He had a love for mechanics and enjoyed building his truck and older vehicles. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, cooking, going to drag races with his Dad and always having the best Halloween costumes every year. Bill was a true Dallas Cowboys football fan. He always brought a smile, a good laugh and a good time with his many friends and family members.

He is survived by his father, William (Joanna) Patterson, Jr. of Mt. Morris, PA, and mother, Melinda (Jeff) Jeffries, of Jefferson, PA; siblings, Melissa (Christopher) Patterson-Fawley, of Mt. Morris, Nathan (Tobie Moore) Patterson, of Mt. Morris, Jeffrey Jeffries, of Waynesburg, PA, Cassie Jeffries, of Johnstown, PA, Shayla Eddy, of Waynesburg, PA, and Shawnna Jeffries; grandfather, Ray Moore, of Jefferson, PA, grandmother, Carol Keller of Jefferson, PA; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Jean Moore and William (Cora Louise “BaBa”) Patterson, Sr.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home., LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. (724) 499-5181 A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Jimmy Carpenter, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview-Kiger Cemetery, Whiteley Twp. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home or a charity of choice.
