Willard Earl Fletcher

Willard E. Fletcher, 86, of Waynesburg, Pa. died at 10:50 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 in the Evergreen Personal Care Home in Washington, Pa. after being in failing health for the past four years.
He was born November 19, 1928 in Richhill Twp., Greene County, Pa. a son of the late Winfield Enlow and Nora Pearl Loar Fletcher.
Mr. Fletcher had resided in Ohio, Delaware and the Pittsburgh area prior to returning to Greene County and Waynesburg where he had resided for over 50 years.
He was a member of the Unity Presbyterian Church in Graysville, Pa., and was a graduate of the former Richhill Twp. High School.
Mr. Fletcher was a veteran of the Korean War where he served with the U.S. Army.
He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan. He and his wife were fortunate enough to be able to attend one of the 1960 World Series games in Pittsburgh at the former Forbes Field.
Mr. Fletcher and his wife enjoyed visiting the Rogers flea market in Ohio and area flea markets, attending the Ohio State Fair, and working word search and crossword puzzles, and the special time with the family pet cats, Bubbles and Moochi.
He was a former employee of General Motors in Elyria, Ohio, and was last employed as a crane operator for Anthony Crane of Uniontown, Pa. for over 30 years prior to retiring in 1993, and was a member of the International Order of Operating Engineers Local 66.
On July 3, 1950 he married Virginia Elizabeth Moniger who survives.
Also surviving are a niece, Diane, wife of Chris McCauley of Graysville; a nephew, Michael, husband of Helene Dulaney of Waynesburg and several other nieces and nephews; two brothers, Arthur, husband of Vileta Fletcher of Inman, SC., and his twin brother, Willis, husband of Imogene Fletcher of Stow, Ohio.
Deceased in addition to his parents are an infant sister, Jessie Irene Fletcher and a sister, Lucille McCullough; two brothers, Harry E. and Robert L. Fletcher.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 with Rev. Walt Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow in Braddock Cemetery, Graysville, Pa. Graveside flag presentation will be accorded by members of the U.S. Army. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
