Thomas "Tom" E. Brown

Thomas “Tom” E. Brown, age 73, of Wetzel County, WV passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, at J.W Ruby Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side.

Born on February 10, 1949, in Moundsville, WV a son of the late Donald Sr. and Mary (Streight) Brown.

Tom was a skilled Auto Mechanic for 22 years, having worked on cars since he was a teenager, and owned his own garage for several years. He retired in 1987 but kept active rebuilding lawn mowers, working on trucks and remodeling homes.

Tom is survived by his companion of nearly 40 years, Shirley Kesterson, of Hundred, WV; son, Thomas "Ed" Brown, Jr., of New Martinsville, WV; four grandchildren, Cristal Mercer, Zachary Brown, both of Middlebourne, WV, Amber Brown, and James Wells, both New Martinsville, WV; many great grandchildren; sister Margaret Stern, of Moundsville, WV; brother Jerry (Nancy) Brown, of Moundsville, WV; two step sons, Ray and John Edge, both of Moundsville, WV; his nephew that he was very close with, John (Sherri) Stern, of Moundsville; niece, Sandie Stern and two nephews, Bob (Sherry) Stern and Ronald (April) Brown, all from Moundsville; several nieces and nephews. Tom also leaves behind his extended family he shared with Shirley and his very best friend, Alfred Hamilton, of Littleton, WV.

In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his brother Donald Brown Jr; nephew, Donald Brown, III; un-biological grandson, Michael Kesterson and un-biological great granddaughter, Katherine Adams.

A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 12-1 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359; Telephone 724-499-5181. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Harry Wright officiating.
