Tavion Nasir Terry

Tavion Nasir Terry, age 7, of Wind Ridge, PA, went to be with God in heaven on his 7th birthday, April 22, 2017, after a courageous 11 month battle with D.I.P.G.

Born April 22, 2010 in Morgantown, WV, he is the loving son of Nathaniel “Sonny” Terry and Desiree Burns.

Tavion was known for his beautiful long eye lashes, his infectious laugh and his contagious smile. He was in first grade at West Greene Elementary School. Tavion loved all superheroes but Batman and Spiderman were his favorite. He enjoyed playing Call of Duty and other video games as well as building things with Legos. Tavion also liked helping his Mom cook.

He was the best big brother and loved playing with his older brothers and cousins. Tavion also played soccer for the Greene County league. In his 11 month battle with D.I.P.G. Tavion kept a smile on his face and never complained about how he felt. In his short life, Tavion touched the hearts of many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Drayden Burns, Nathaniel “Tre” Terry, II. and Logan Pitzer; maternal grandparents, Ray and Lisa Burns, of Wind Ridge, PA; grandmother, Mary Ann Terry, of Fairmont, WV; great-grandfather, Phillip Burns, of Wind Ridge, PA; aunts and uncles, Natasha Burns, of Wind Ridge, PA, Shawn (Jeannie) Burns, of Wind Ridge, PA, Mandisa (George Jr.) Kelley, of Waynesburg, PA, James Terry, Jr., of New Orleans, LA, Michael Terry, of Fairmont, WV; several great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Terry.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA, 15359. (724) 499-5181 A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Ryan Tharp and Pastor Phil Campbell, co-officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Wind Ridge, PA.
