Savannah L. (Fred) Hennen, 17, of New Freeport,(Gilmore Twp.) Pa. died unexpectedly at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in her home.She was born April 10, 1994 a daughter of Cecil Ingram Hennen of Holbrook (Jackson Twp.) and Carolyn Lorraine (Bunny) Crawford Hennen Shipman of New Freeport (Gilmore Twp.).Ms. Hennen was a member of the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church at Holbrook and a volunteer with CBM Ministries of Dry Tavern.She was completing her junior year at West Greene High School, where she was a straight "A"student and had participated in volleyball, track, and basketball and was a volunteer with the Mr. West Greene contest and was a pleasure to be around and enjoyed her many friends.Ms. Hennen had aspirations of becoming a forensic pathologist and had recently shadowed Dr. Cyril Wecht and Mr.Joseph Mancuso of the Allegheny Coroners office.She was a junior fireman with the New Freeport V.F.D. and had participated in the Relay for Life.Ms. Hennen loved horses and animals of all kinds, hunting and fishing.She had been employed for the past few months as a waitress at Sweet Melissa's Restaurant in Hundred, W.Va.Surviving in addition to her parents are a sister, Keri Shipman, twin brother and sister, Alden and Ava Shipman and brothers James (JP) Hennen and Will Shipman all at home; step father, R. Allan Shipman; Annette Tharp, companion of Cecil Hennen; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Carolyn Head Crawford; paternal step grandparents, Robert and Shirley Carmichael Shipman; several aunts, uncles and cousins.Deceased are her paternal grandparents, James and Esta Yoho Hennen.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to CBM Ministries, PO Box 378, Carmichaels, Pa. 15320 or a scholarship fund to be established at West Greene High School in her memory.
