Sandra J Riggs

Sandra J. (Sands) Riggs, age 66, of New Freeport, passed away December 1, 2021, at Washington Health System – Greene.

Born December 9, 1954 in Cleveland, OH, daughter of the late Rodney Williams and Violet Pauline (Tawney) Sands.

Sandra was a resident of Greene County her whole life. She graduated from Carmichaels High School. Sandra married Raymond Riggs on June 7, 1989. She enjoyed reading, puzzle books, cooking, taking care of her animals and riding motorcycles.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Robert A. Rohland, of Stringtown, Daniel R. (Candace A.) Rohland, of Crucible, Shannon Marie “Harbarger” (Darryl) Eperjesi, of Waynesburg and Crystal Jacobs, of Waynesburg; one sister, Carol (Sands) Long, of Stow, OH; one half-sister, Betsy (Sands) O’Connor, of Brook Park, OH; three grandchildren, Sarah Brown, Tyler Coger and Jeremy Eperjesi.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her foster parents, William “Bump” Rohland and Sarah Alice (Vail) Rohland; one sister, Londa Jean Sands; one grandson, Triston Coger.
