Roy L. Inghram, age 89, a life-long resident of Greene County, PA, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Waynesburg Health Care & Rehabilitation, Waynesburg, PA.
Born August 6, 1928 in Center Twp., PA, he is the son of the late John Thomas and Inez (Johnson) Inghram.
Roy married Betty J. (West) Inghram, February 28, 1970. He was a member of the Bates Fork Baptist Church, where he was Trustee and Usher alongside his wife, Pastor Betty Inghram. He was a laborer for Center Twp. for approximately 13 years until his retirement in December 1993. He was self-employed as a custom sheep shearer from the age of 14 until ill health forced him to retire in 2000. Roy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his wife, Betty J. (West) Inghram, of Waynesburg, PA, he is survived by three children, Barbara Whitlatch, of PA, Darlene (Don) Custer, of NC and Karen Lasha, of PA; two step-children, Terrace Gene DeMurry and Curtis Lee DeMurry, both of Maryland; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death, two siblings, Paul T. Inghram and Helen Iams; one step-son, Timothy Ernest DeMurry.
