Roberta Kay (Birdie) Rush

Roberta Kay (Birdie) Rush, 61, of Waynesburg, Pa. died Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 1:28 pm in her home, after battling a Cancer related illness.

She was born September 17, 1962 in Cleveland, Ohio a daughter of the late Kenneth Melvin Rush, Sr. and Nancy Lee Keller Rush and had resided in Greene County most of her life.

Ms. Rush was a 1980 graduate of the former Waynesburg Central High School.

She was a former home health aide with Independence Care in Pittsburgh, Pa. and had been employed in Home Health Care for over 30 years, and was a former bartender at the Waynesburg American Legion. 

Ms. Rush enjoyed growing flowers and was a member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge Auxiliaries, both in Waynesburg.

Surviving are two sons, Kyle Tedrow of Waynesburg and Jason (Whitney Durbin) Rush of Carmichaels; three grandchildren, Paisley and Karter Rush, and Jacob Tedrow; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents is a brother, Kenneth Melvin Rush, Jr.

All arrangements are private and under the direction of the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC in Rogersville, Pa.
