Richard Lee Bell

September 5, 1950 — July 19, 2015

Richard L. Bell, 64, of Claysville, (Blaine Twp.), Pa. died unexpectedly at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the residence of Don and Jill Miller of Blaine Twp.
He was born in Washington, Pa. a son of the late Helen Virginia Bell White Morris and had been a resident of the Claysville area all his life, where he and his sisters were raised by Martha May Britt Miller of Claysville and the late Gaylord Miller.
Mr. Bell was a 1968 graduate of Trinity High School.
He was a veteran of the Viet Nam War where he served as a sergeant with the U.S. Air Force and was also a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Army.
Mr. Bell was a former mechanic with the U.S. Post Office, with the Ford garage and the former Bell-Atlantic Phone Company, all in Washington, and had been a co-owner and operator of D R Services as a bus mechanic with the McGuffey School Buses for the past several years.
He enjoyed programming and repairing computers.
Surviving in addition to his foster mother are three sisters, Nancy Gray of Washington, Ruth, wife of Archie Davis and Linda, wife of James Davis, both of Claysville; three brothers, Don, husband of Jill Miller and Robert, husband of Jana Roberts, both of Claysville and Ray, husband of Lynne Miller of Washington; three half-sisters, Wanda, wife of John Lycetti, Dora Morris and Bonnie, wife of Robert Fuller, all of Washington; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his mother and foster father, is a sister, Lois Jean Davis.
Memorial Services will be held Aug. 20, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Claysville Christian Church with Rev. Meade Lacock officiating.
