Phillip Alvin Reece, age 67, of Waynesburg, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026, in his home.

Born January 25, 1959, in Olympia, WA, son of the late Alvin and Mary (McAbee) Reece.

Phillip had been a Greene County resident most of his life. He graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1977, then went on to get his associate’s degree in civil engineering from Penn State. He also received a certificate of merit for welding from the Washington Institute. Phillip was employed with Brock Associates as their Roofing Consultant and created Architecture Blueprints for them over the last 10 years. Woodworking was his passion. Phillip enjoyed playing golf, guns, fishing, watching sports with friends, and music. He loved life to the fullest and the ones who knew him well called him a social butterfly.

He is survived by two children, Shawn P. (Megan) Reece, of Sycamore and Brian A. Reece, of Pittsburgh; daughter-in-law, Kelly Jo Reece, of Prosperity; four grandchildren, Jazlynn Reece, Alex Arbogast, Kaydee Reece, and Logan Reece; sister, Theresa (Karen) Reece; and niece, Calli (Tyler Bull) Crouse.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Darin Reece and sister, Christi Reece.
