Phillip S. Prevost

Phillip S. Prevost, age 84, of Waynesburg, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 18, 2026, in his home.

Born October 3, 1941, in Bertha Hill, WV., son of the late Albert Prevost, Sr. and Rosie Katherine Nance.

Phillip had been a Greene County resident most of his life. He enjoyed smoking his pipe, fishing, drinking, gardening, and cooking.

He is survived by eight children, Phillip (Donna) Prevost, of Aleppo, Hazel Bechtol, of Ohio, Robert Prevost, of Texas, Lindy Prevost, of Waynesburg, Donnie (Lisa) Prevost, of Prosperity, Eulalia (Donald) Glenndening, of Indiana, Tonie Prevost, of Indiana, and Carol (Howard) Miller, of Washington; two step children, Charles Prevost, of Washington and Mark (Tina Kennedy) Prevost, of Waynesburg; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; three siblings, Annie Grenell, of Avella, Linda Pierson, of Avella, and Charles Prevost, of Bridgeville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Melvin Prevost and six siblings, Betty Gordon, Marceline Hopkins, Gertrude Reed, Wanda Powers, Albert Prevost, Jr., and Thomas Prevost.
