Phillip J. Wyant

Phillip J. Wyant, known as “PJ” or “Big P” to friends, age 26, of Waynesburg, PA, passed away tragically following an auto accident on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

Born on March 19, 1991, in Fairmont, WV, he is the son of the late Aarron D. Wyant and Peggy M. Roberts, of Waynesburg, PA.

Phillip graduated in 2009 from Waynesburg High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a PV1 from 2009-2011. Phillip was stationed in Camp Carroll, Korea where he was in culinary arts at the 501st Consolidated Dining Facility. Phillip was employed by SCI Greene as a Corrections Officer and previously at T&T Auto and Mt. View Apartment Complex. He was a member of the Waynesburg V.F.W. Post 4793 and Waynesburg Eagles Aerie #598. Phillip enjoyed music, playing ping pong, cooking, football, spending time with his brothers, partying with friends, having fun, making people smile and laugh.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Area Wyant and ex-wife, Monique Diaz, of Texas; his brothers, Albert L. Wyant, of FL, and Aarron L. Wyant, of Waynesburg, PA; two nephews, Johnathon Wyant and Quiant Jones; girlfriend, Angie McGruder, of Waynesburg, and her children, Isaiaa McGruder, Anigah Sisserd and Anya Sisserd; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC, 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA, 15359. (724) 499-5181. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
