Paul L. Hancher, Jr.

Paul L. Hancher, Jr., 71, of Claysville, Pa., died February 19, 2015 in his home.
He was born on August 11, 1943 in Donegal Twp., Washington Co., Pa, a son of the late Paul L. Hancher Sr., and Charlotte Violet Adams Hancher and lived in the Claysville area his whole life.
Mr. Hancher was a 1962 graduate of McGuffey High School.
He was employed as a rigger for the former Jessop Steel and Alleghany Ludlum for over 35 years prior to retiring in 2006.
Mr. Hancher enjoyed hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family.
On September 9, 1967 he married Jane Newman who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Brian Hancher of Claysville, and Kevin, husband of Jennifer Hancher of West Alexander, Pa.; five grandchildren, Amanda Hancher, wife of Jeff Puckey, Danielle, Courtney, Nicholas, and Samantha Hancher; a great grandchild, Landon Puckey; and a brother, Mike Hancher of West Alexander, Pa.
Deceased in addition to his parents are two brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Hancher.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Interment will be private at the request of the family. The family suggest that memorial contributions be made to Catch A Dream Foundation, 2485 Ennis Rd., Starkville, MS 39759.
