Patrick A. Tedrow, 59, of Aleppo Twp., Greene County, Pa. died unexpectedly at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 in his home.
He was born May 20, 1956 in Cameron, W.Va. a son of the late Robert Kenneth and Betty Jane Riggle Tedrow and had resided in Wind Ridge from 1977 until moving to Aleppo Twp. in 1999.
Mr. Tedrow was a 1976 graduate of West Greene High School.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 153 FAM in Waynesburg, a member and past commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post 18 in Cameron, and a member of the Cameron Moose Lodge 758.
Mr. Tedrow was a former member of the Richhill Twp. V.F.D in Wind Ridge, and was a former coach with the West Greene Youth Sports from 1985-1991.
He was an avid hunter, enjoyed digging mushrooms and catching snapping turtles, and was the caretaker of the Quiet Dell and Tedrow Family cemeteries in Aleppo Twp.
Mr. Tedrow was employed for over 25 years at the Cameron Lumber Company, and has been employed for the past 16 years as a laborer/carpenter with Carpenters Local 2274 of Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his companion of the past 18 years, Patty Statler; a son, Matt Tedrow of Wind Ridge; two daughters, Erin, wife of Todd Klaner of Canonsburg and Jessica, wife of Justin Carpenter of Wind Ridge; five grandchildren, Mackenzie and Mason Carpenter, Kameron Tedrow, Teagan and Ealyn Klaner; his former wife, Mary Beth Helphenstine Tedrow of Wind Ridge; six brothers, William D., Gary E., Randal L., and Kevin F. Tedrow, Mark, husband of Jonnie Lynn Tedrow and Jerry L, husband of Kelly Tedrow; six sisters, Connie J. Schoeller, Marjeane, wife of Steve Sheard, Vickie, wife of Gary Kakyo, Joyce A. and Debra Tedrow and Judy Frye, fianc of Lane Watson; several nieces and nephews; his constant companion Hooch.
Deceased in addition to his parents are three brothers, Robert D., Douglas J. and Charles R.E. Tedrow.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of a memorial service to be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015 in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. with Rev. Kurt Knoble officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The Waynesburg Masonic Lodge 153 FAM will conduct a memorial service in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday, as part of the general memorial service. In honor of his grandson, Mason Carpenter, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Down Syndrome Association, 5513 William Flynn Hwy., #400, PMB #283, Gibsonia, Pa. 15044.
