Obituary for Frances Grim
Frances L. Grim, 91, formerly of Wind Ridge and Waynesburg, Pa. died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 16, 2004 in the Greenery Specialty Care Center, Canonsburg, Pa.She was born September 27, 1913 in Cameron, W.Va. a daughter of George Linley and Martha Ellen Courtwright Grim.Miss Grim had resided in the Wind Ridge area most of her life prior to moving to Waynesburg in 1986.She was a member of the Wind Ridge Christian Church.Miss Grim was employed as a nurse aid most of her working life in the Waynesburg and Washington area nursing homes, including the former Hillsview Clinic in Washington in the 50's and 60's, and was a caregiver for ill members of her family for several years and was also an employee of the former Greene Hills Farm in Waynesburg.She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends as long as her health permitted.Surviving are three nieces, Martha Augustine of Beech Bottom, W. Va., Carol Burkett of Canonsburg and Betty Ann Ward of Waynesburg (East View); one nephew, George L. Grim III of Youngstown, OH.; seven great nieces and nephews; four great-great nieces and nephews.Deceased are three brothers, James Lawrence, Glenn Edward and George L. Grim, Jr.; one sister, Alice Rutan; one nephew, Joseph Rutan.Miss Grim was the last of her immediate family.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
