Melvin D. Hull

Melvin D. Hull, 85, formerly of Rogersville, Pa. died, Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 12:55 pm in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Rehabilitation and Memory Care Center, Waynesburg, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several years.

He was born November 1, 1935, in Richhill Twp., Greene County, Pa. a son of the late Lloyd Elbin and Ruth Evelyn Murry Hull and had resided in Bristoria all his life prior to moving to Rogersville in 1966.

Mr. Hull was a member of the Rogersville United Methodist Church and a graduate of the former Center Twp. High School.

He was a 32nd Degree member of the Masonic Lodge 153 F & AM and a member of the former Elks Lodge, both in Waynesburg.

He was employed as a journeyman in pipeline construction by Local 798 for over 50 years prior to retiring in 1998.

On December 31, 1966, he married Jane Elizabeth McNeely Irvin who died August 20, 2009.

Surviving are a step-son, Dr. C. Michael (Dr. Paula Raugellis) Irvin of Waynesburg; 2 step-grandsons, C. Michael (Megan) Irvin II and Dr. Chase Irvin; 2 brothers, Terry (Kay) Hull of Indiana, Pa, and Kenny (Barbara) Hull of Moundsville, WVa.; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are a stepdaughter, Jan E. Irvin who died in 2018; 2 brothers, Roger, and Lloyd (Eugene)Hull; and 2 brothers in infancy, Larry O. and William R. Hull; 4 sisters, Nadine (Kathern) Stewart, Joan Hughes, Mary L. Wise and Marilyn Carroll.

Friends will be received from 11:00 am until time of services at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 4, 2021, in the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC in Rogersville, Pa. with Pastor Ed Hanley officiating. Private interment in Rosemont Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Rolling Meadows for the loving care given to Mr. Hull and request/suggest memorial contributions be made to the Rolling Meadows Activity Fund, 107 Curry Road, Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
