Mary Jane Katchmark

Mary Jane Katchmark, 92, of Center Twp., Greene County, Pa. died on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in UPMC Greene Hospital, Waynesburg, Pa.

She was born June 16, 1932 in Vestaburg, Pa. a daughter of the late Gilbert and Ethel Anderson Wilkins and had resided in Waynesburg, Pa. prior to moving to Center Twp. in 1978.

Mrs. Katchmark attended the First Baptist Church in Waynesburg and was a 1950 graduate of East Bethlehem High School.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and an occasional trip to the casino.

Mrs. Katchmark was a member of the Martha V. Paul Chapter of the Eastern Star and the West Greene Senior Citizens.

She was last employed as a telephone operator for the former Alltel Phone Company in Waynesburg for 34 years prior to retiring in 1984.

On October 8, 1952 in Winchester, Va. she married Leonard Thomas Katchmark who died August 3, 1991.

Surviving are a daughter, Kim Katchmark of Northern Cambria, Pa. and a son, Kurt (Michele) Katchmark of Center Twp.; a grandson, Noah (Laura) Katchmark of Prosperity; a great granddaughter, Magnolia Katchmark; a very special friend and caregiver, Regina (Art) Morris of Center Twp.

Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a sister, Joyce Ann Wilkins Kelly and a brother, Raymond Wilkins.

Mrs. Katchmark was the last of her immediate family.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 12 Noon to 3:00 pm, and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC in Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 19, 2025, with Rev. Kevin Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park.
