Martha Jane Morris, 82, of Holbrook (Jackson Twp.), Pa. died Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the Assisted Living at Evergreen, Waynesburg, Pa. after being in failing health since June 2012.She was born April 19, 1931 in Richhill Twp., Greene Co., Pa. a daughter of the late Elbin Alvin and Elizabeth Glenola Finnegan Riggle and had been a resident of Jackson Twp. since 1954.Mrs. Morris was a member of the Maranantha Baptist Church.She was a member of the former Aleppo Grange and a member of the East Franklin Grange at the time of her death.Mrs. Morris enjoyed toll painting, quilting, arts and crafts as long as her health permitted. She was an employee of the former Berkowitz Pajama Factory and the former Greenway Manufacturing Company, both in Waynesburg prior to retiring in 1986. Following retirement she was involved in general house cleaning for neighbors and friends for over 20 years.On August 17, 1948 she married Harry Newton Morris who survives.Also surviving are a daughter, Linda, wife of Russell McCollum of Sycamore; a son, Ronald, husband of Bonnie Morris of Holbrook; three granddaughters, Stacy Campion, Stephanie McCollum and Michelle Morris; a great granddaughter, Sean Campion; a brother, Frank, husband of Pat Riggle of Strawsburg, Ohio; a sister, Donna, wife of Wayne Tharp of Midland, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents are a great grandson, Liam Campion who died at birth; a sister, Joan Hunter; a brother, Robert Riggle.Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013 with Rev. Vernon K. Berdine officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery, Jackson Twp.
