Louise Phillips

Louise Phillips, aged 93, of Buckeye Lake, OH, passed away on February 7, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, OH.

Louise was born on April 9, 1928 in Point of Rocks, MD to the late Preston E. Mossburg and Elsie (Lowery) Mossburg Shaw.

She worked as a baker in the college cafeteria for Marriott Hood College for 24 and a half years before retiring. In her free time, Louise enjoyed baking, crafting, and taking photos.

Louise was married to the late Doyle Duane Phillips before his passing in June of 1973. Together they had one son, Roger Dale (Mary) Phillips, of Newark, OH.

Surviving family other than Louise’s son includes six grandchildren, Lorrie Starinsky; Pam Daniker; Alex Starinsky; Heather Latchshaw; Deanna & Roger Cumberledge, and Nichole Phillips; great-grandchildren, Layla O’Brien; Brian Mercer, and among several others.

In addition to her husband and parents, Louise is preceded in death by her daughters Vicki Latchshaw; Jean Starinsky; and Mary Gail and grandchildren Janey Roberts; Michael Roberts; and Jimmy Starinsky Jr.

Family and friends will be welcomed Friday, February 11, 2022 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359; Telephone: 724 499 5181. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 1 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Kay Berdine officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Richhill Township.

Louise Phillips loved flowers and the family welcomes donations in her memory for her memorial service.
