Lonnie Prendergast

Lonnie D. Prendergast, 61, of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of New Freeport, Pa. died at 9:56 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2012 in his home after being in failing health for the past several years.He was born May 29, 1951 in Springhill Twp., Greene Co. Pa. a son of the late Thomas Daniel and Pauline Alta DeBolt Prendergast.Mr. Prendergast attended schools in the West Greene School District.He enjoyed all animals with a preference to ducks, geese and chickens and enjoyed hunting as long as his health permitted.Surviving is a son, Lonnie Smith of Littleton, W.Va.; a sister, Sylvia McClure of Waynesburg; a half brother, Raymond, husband of Sandra Riggs of New Freeport.Deceased in addition to his parents is a brother, Murray Thomas Prendergast who died in infancy.
