Linda L. King

Linda L. King, 70, of Jefferson, Pa. died at 10:00 pm, Sunday, August 6, 2023 in the WVU Uniontown Hospital emergency room, following recent heart surgery.

She was born October 1, 1952 in Waynesburg, Pa. a daughter of the late Thomas Isaac and Coral Leah Wise King and had resided in Lippencott prior to moving to Jefferson in 2003.

Mrs. King was a 1971 graduate of the former Waynesburg High School.

She was a faithful follower of Christ, a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed the time she got to spend with her family and her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Mrs. King had been employed by the Waynesburg Giant Eagle since 2002, last held the position of customer service representative.

On September 11, 1982 she married Frank Richard “Rick” King who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa (Carl) Walker of Uniontown; 2 sons, Matthew King of Versailles and Marcus King at home; 5 grandchildren, John, Adrianna, and Michael Walker, Trinity Viscardi and Catalaya Dilts; a sister, Shannon (Dan) Rush and a brother, Thomas Ray (Butch) King, both of Waynesburg; a half-sister, Michele (Kurt) Katchmark of Center Twp.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 pm in the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., Rogersville, Pa., where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 10, 2023 with Servant of God, Judy Rastoka officiating.  Interment will follow in Phillips Cemetery, Wayne Twp.
