Leonard Lawrence Brown, Sr.

Leonard Lawrence Brown, Sr., age 81, of Holbrook, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, in his home with his family by his side.

Born July 19, 1942, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Albert Harold and Marie Elizabeth (Kimble) Brown, Sr.

Leonard had been a resident of Jackson Twp. his whole life. He graduated from West Greene High School in 1961. Leonard was a former member of Long Run Church of God; he was a protestant by faith. He married Mary Louise Crawford on November 7, 1964, and they were happily married for 59 years. Leonard was a laborer for the local 1058 labors local-Pittsburgh for 24 years until he retired in 1992. He was a member of the labor’s union for over 50 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by, two children, James Edward Brown, of Waynesburg and Michael Allen Brown, of Holbrook; two grandchildren, Daisha Dawn (Alexander Miller) Brown and Mikah (Chase) Brown Rodriguez, of TX; one great grandson, Santiago Rodriguez; four siblings, Albert I. Brown, of Holbrook, Rosalie E. Mitchell, of New Freeport, and Anna M. Black, also of Holbrook; one half-brother, Albert Harold Brown, Jr., of Germany.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Leonard Lawrence Brown, Jr. and a brother, Charles F. Brown.
