Lee W. Danley age 83 of West Finley, PA died Thursday January 27, 2011 in the Washington Hospital. He was born April 20, 1927 in West Finley, PA a son of the late John M. Danley and Hazel Tilton Danley.Mr. Danley was a member and ordained elder of the Windy Gap United Presbuterian Church of West Finley.He was a US Army veteran of World War II, serving in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and Germany with Intelligence.Mr. Danley was a member of American Legion Post # 639 of Claysville for 63 years.He worked for COlumbia Gas Transmission Corporation for 34 years before his retirement in the year of 1982.He was a school director for McGuffey School District. He was a member of the National Carnegie Heroes of Pittsburgh, PA for saving a life. He was a charter member of West Finley Volunteer Fire Department.On April 22, 1955 he married Mary Karaleene Danley who died January 12, 2010.He is survived by a son Gary L. Danley and wife Mary Ann Francis Danley of West Finley, two granddaughters Leeann E. Danley and Gail M. Danley.Deceased in addition to his parents and wife of 54 years is a sister Louise.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Windy Gap United Presbyterian Church or the West Finley Volunteer Fire Department.
