Lawrence Edward Crouse

Lawrence Edward Crouse, age 90, of Graysville, passed away Friday, March 8, 2024, at We Care in Waynesburg, under the care of Masontown Amedisys Hospice.

Born July 5, 1933, in Morris Twp. Greene County, son of the late James Albert and Elizabeth (Breese) Crouse.

Lawrence graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1951. He was a member of Union Valley United Methodist Church. Lawrence married Donna Lee Conkey on October 15, 1953, and they were happily married for 62 years until her passing on January 26, 2016. He was a former member of the E. Finley Horseshoe Pitching Club. Lawrence served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Tygart Valley Glass Company before going to the military, once released from active duty he began working for Tygart Valley again for a short time before becoming self-employed as a dairy farmer for 29 years. Lawrence started his career with Bailey Mine in 1984, then in 2011 he retired from Amguard Security after 27 years. 

He is survived by his son Ronald (Cindy) Crouse, of Waynesburg.; three grandchildren, Calli (Tyler Bull) Crouse, of Mt. Washington, Jennifer (Keith) Ross, of Waynesburg, and Timothy (Krystal) Crouse, of Waynesburg; four great grandchildren, Teagen and Layla Crouse and Ally and Sadie Ross; three siblings, Thomas (Ruth) Crouse, of Prosperity, Betty (Rollie) Bristor, of Waynesburg, and Erma (Larry) Anderson, of Waynesburg.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Larry James Crouse, who passed on March 15, 2015; two siblings, Bernice Loughman and George Crouse.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 4-8 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Scott Lawrence, officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery, Richhill Twp, where full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and the Greene County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Masontown Amedisys Hospice, 2183 McClellandtown Rd. Masontown, PA 15461.
