Larry L. Cole

Larry L. Cole, age 80, of Brave, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown, WV.

Born June 7, 1945, in Center Twp., son of the late Lawrence “Tubby” and H. Irene (Watson) Cole.

Larry had been a Greene County resident his whole life. He was a member of the First Assembly of God in Eastview, where he was an Usher and involved in the jail ministry. Larry married Sandy P. Snell on December 3, 1964. They would have celebrated their 61-wedding anniversary in just a few days. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart. Larry was employed as a general laborer at Federal #2 Eastern Associated Coal for 25 years until he retired in 1995. He enjoyed trapping, fishing, small game hunting, feeding and watching the birds.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Robert E. (Mary Lee) Cole, of Hookstown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Paul Cole and Carol Sue Rush.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 3-6 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Ben Williamson, officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Bank Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted by the Greene County Honor Guard.
