Kenneth Melvin Rush

Kenneth Melvin Rush, 82, of Waynesburg, Pa. died unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in his home after being in failing health for the past several years.

He was born September 15, 1941 in Cumberland Township, Greene County, Pa. a son of the late Thomas Isaac and Mabel M. Miller Rush and been a Greene County resident all his life.

Mr. Rush attended the former Waynesburg High School and was a member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge and the Waynesburg Rod and Gun Club.

He enjoyed making hunting knives, fishing, hunting and watching old westerns on television.

Mr. Rush was a former employee of R.G. Johnson, Traft Construction, Gateway Mine and was last employed by John Howard Motors. 

On January 14, 1961 he married Nancy Lee Keller Rush who died February 26, 2005.

Surviving is a daughter, Roberta K. Rush of Waynesburg; three grandchildren Jason and Rachael Rush and Kyle Tedrow; a sister, Barbara (James) Ferencak of Bedford, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are a son, Kenneth M. Rush, Jr.; three brothers, Thomas G., Gary L. and Larry L. Rush; a half sister, Marge Warman.

At the request of the family all services will be private.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC, Rogersville, Pa.
