Kathy L. (Pierce) Whitlatch

Kathy L. (Pierce) Whitlatch, age 69, of Sycamore, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026, in Waynesburg.

Born March 17, 1957, in Waynesburg, daughter of the late Shirl and Louise (Patterson) Rogers.

Kathy had been a Greene County resident most of her life. She was a member of the Allegheny Methodist Church in Waynesburg. On June 26, 1976, she married William “Bill” H. Whitlatch, passing just one day shy of celebrating 50 years of marriage. She was the secretary for Whitlatch Contracting for 40 years. Kathy enjoyed “Glamping” at Big Bear, gardening, thrifting, crafting, being outdoors, selling her jewelry, and playing UNO with her family. She had a special place in her heart for children, with her playful spirit and beautiful ability to bond with them.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, William “Billy” (Amber) Whitlatch, of Eastview and Tiffany (Roy L. Rush) Whitlatch, of Sycamore; four grandchildren, Jacob and Jordan Patterson, Taylor (Larry Arbogast) Whitlatch, and Kayleigh Rush; three siblings, Kevin (Laura) Rogers, of West Finley, Kelly (Jerry) Tedrow, of Hundred, and Tonia Groff, of Finleyville; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Tammy Sizemore and Kimberly Gay McMahon.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Lanny Hewitt, officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery.
