Karen Sue (Courtwright) Henry Kimble, age 74, of Sycamore, walked into the loving arms of her Saviour on Friday, October 31, 2025, in her home with her family by her side.
Born April 25, 1951, in Waynesburg, daughter of the late Robert Linley and Edith Kandred (Glover) Courtwright.
Karen had been a Greene County resident all of her life. She graduated from West Greene High School in 1969. In 1985, she graduated from the Belmont Technical School of Nursing, where she received her training as an L.P.N. Karen attended Valley Chapel Church for the past 20 years. She married Charles Wilbert Henry on July 26, 1965, and they were married until his passing in 2006. She was employed with Southwest Regional Medical Center in Waynesburg as an RN from 1991 until she retired in 2013. Karen married her second husband, David Kimble, on April 16, 2016, and they were happily married for nine years. Karen enjoyed flower gardening, the outdoors, cross stitching, going to church and reading her Bible. Karen and David pursued their shared interest of travelling and camping across the United States for the past 9 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Julie (Andy) Gillogly, of Aleppo and Rob (Erin) Henry, of Waynesburg; eight step children, Angie Cramer, of Jefferson, Jason Kimble, of Washington, Jennifer Kimble, of Carmichaels, BJ (Gordon) Henry, of Nineveh, Jessica (Dave) Ammons, of Wadestown, WV, JD ((Eileen) Bedillion, of Nineveh, Chad (Jackie) Bedillion, of Houston, TX, and Amanda Bedillion, of Waynesburg; three grandchildren, Ashlynn (Andrew) Williams, of Aleppo, Carrigan and Carson Henry; one great grandchild, Ambrose Williams; and several step grandchildren. Karen also leaves behind 4 special friends; Nancy Boudreau, Lonnie Frammartino, Wendy Bouchard and Karen Eisiminger, as well as a loving church family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, Ruth Ellen Whipkey, Peggy Galentine, William, Henry, Robert, Roger, and L. Eugene Courtwright.
Karen was the last of her immediate family.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM in Valley Chapel Church, 2327 Golden Oaks Rd. Holbrook, PA 15341 with Pastor Paul Salosky, officiating. Burial will follow at Centennial Cemetery, Aleppo.
