Karen Louise Adams, 73, of Jackson Twp., Greene Co. Pa, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 in her home.She was born June 20, 1940, the eldest daughter of the late Charles Francis "Quincy" and Mary Elizabeth Jacobs Adams and had resided in Greene County all of her life.Miss Adams suffered from mental retardation from birth and had formerly attended the Waynesburg Opportunity Center (Greene A.R.C.).She attended the Willow Grove Independent Baptist Church at Holbrook as long as her health permitted. Miss Adams enjoyed the time spent with her family, singing, "Lassie" dogs, orange colored cats, and her backyard rope swing.Surviving are three sisters, Kathy Reeves of Mesa, AZ., Anita L., wife of Kenneth Simms, of Waynesburg, and Lucinda (Cindy) Kerr, with whom she has shared her home with for the past 23 years following the death of her mother in Jackson Twp.; one foster brother, John K. Staggers of Waynesburg; one foster sister, Kay, wife of Glenn Adamson, of Graysville; one brother-in-law, Thomas Ducoeur, of Charleroi; six nieces, two nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents are two sisters, Cora Sue Ducoeur and Linda Ann Adams; and one brother-in-law, Richard Kerr.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Grrene Co. Humane Society, 183 Jefferson Rd, Waynesburg, PA., 15370.
