Joseph R. Marion

Joseph R. Marion, 83, of Jackson Twp., Greene County, Pa. died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in his home.

He was born May 22, 1942 in Waynesburg, Pa. a son of the late Joseph Richard Marion, Sr. and Dorothy Louise Bland Marion and had resided in Greene County all his life, resided in Jackson Twp. the past 45-50 years.

Mr. Marion was a 1960 graduate of the former Waynesburg High School and was a veteran of the Viet Nam War.

He was a self-employed electrician most of his working life, and he was a free spirit enjoying life in general.

Mr. Marion enjoyed vegetable farming and joining friends to go hot air ballooning.

He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 4793 and the American Legion Post 330, both in Waynesburg, Pa.

Mr. Marion was married to the late Judith Marie Streit who died in March 2025.

Surviving are two sisters, Josephine Ketchum of Waynesburg, Pa. and Connie Morris of Jacksonville, Fla.; three nieces, Melissa Ziegler of Waynesburg, Pa. and Mexico, Kimberly (Luke) Prendergast of Philadelphia, Pa. and Joanne Morris of Jacksonville, Fla.; three nephews, Kevin Crockett of Las Vegas, Nevada, Thomas Morris of Jacksonville, Fla. and Kenneth Morris of Orlando, Fla.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing or services. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC, Rogersville, Pa. The family asked that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, donation form is available on-line.
