John Charles "JC" Thomas

John Charles “JC” Thomas, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant of God, went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born on May 1, 1950, in Illinois, JC eventually made his home in Jollytown, Pennsylvania, where he lived a life rooted in faith, love, and quiet service. He carried his trust in God into every season of life through humility, kindness, and steadfast devotion to his family.

JC found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments- feeding his birds each day, with a special fondness for hummingbirds, and spending quiet hours fishing, especially alongside his grandchildren in later years. In his younger days, he gave generously to his community by coaching little league baseball for many years. Those who knew him will always remember his love for the outdoors, his spirited nature, and the genuine care and affection he showed to them.

Above all, JC treasured his family, whom he considered one of God’s greatest blessings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deb Thomas, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage, having been united on December 7, 1968, and their three daughters, Candace Thomas, Cassandra (Tim) Dusenberry, and Crystal (Jay) Crawford; four grandchildren, Hannah (Timothy) Patsko, Taylor and Tyler Dusenberry, and Meadow Crawford; he is also survived by his little buddy, Zach. His love, guidance, and prayers will continue to live on through them.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and L. Johnetta Thomas; and his sister, Ellen Leo.

While our hearts grieve his passing, we take comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord and rejoice knowing that JC is now at peace in the presence of his Savior. As Scripture reminds us, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Until we meet again.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, January 29, 2026, for the first visitation from 5-8 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181. A second visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 also in the funeral home. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Bristoria Baptist Church, 913 Bristoria Rd. Holbrook, PA 15341, with Pastor Gary Crawford, officiating. Burial to follow at Bristoria Baptist Church Cemetery.
