John Franklin (Frank) Blaker

John Franklin (Frank) Blaker, 73, of Waynesburg, Pa. died at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2015 in Golden Living Center in Waynesburg after being in failing health for the past several years.
He was born October 23, 1941 in Waynesburg a son of the late Ralph Eaton and Margaret P. Pratt Blaker and had resided in Franklin Twp. since 1950.
Mr. Blaker was a 1959 graduate of the former Waynesburg High School.
He was a former employee of the Joyce and Sheehan Pipeline Companies, the former Brunofski Roofers and was a self-employed excavating contractor for several years.
Mr. Blaker was last employed as a heavy equipment operator with the former Equitable Gas Company for approximately 30 years prior to retiring in 1997.
He was a member of the Greene County Farmers Association, an avid supporter of the local 4-H clubs, a former member of the W. Va. Cattlemans Association and the Waynesburg Moose Lodge.
He also enjoyed raising livestock and working his century farm with his family.
On November 5, 1960 he married Shirley Ann Yeager who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, John, husband of Pam Henderson Blaker and Lloyd, husband of Kimberly Ann Hickman Blaker, both of Franklin Twp.; five grandchildren, John (J.F.), husband of Brandy Blaker, Erica, wife of Steve Heitz, Allison Blaker, Amanda, wife of Jason Pierce and Elizabeth Carroll; three great grandchildren, Layla Ann Pierce, Abigail Grace Blaker and Robert Odum; a sister, Linda White of Franklin Twp.; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents is a great granddaughter, Addison Laynae Blaker.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, 2015 with Rev. Charles McCollum officiating. Interment will follow in Oakmont Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE First St., Suite 800, Miami, Fl. 33131.
