Joetta J. Reed

Joetta J. Reed, age 73, of Oak Forest, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 24, 2017.

Born March 24, 1944 in Waynesburg, PA, she is the daughter of the late Wylie and Margaret (Kerr) Bateson.
 
Joetta was a member of the Oak View United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with family and friends. Joetta enjoyed creating and making arts and crafts.
 
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James H.Reed; her son James H. (Mary) Reed II.; two daughters, Joelle Reed and Jennifer (Scott) Doane; grandchildren, Eddie Long, Jessica Gray, Steven Long, Ryan Reed, Alyssa Riggenbach, Jared Reed, Dalton Riggenbach, great grandchildren, Faith Long, Camryn Long, Levi Gray and Jarred Reed II; siblings, David (Georgia) Bateson, Lynette (Walter) Richards, Margaret (Glen) Zollars, Stanley Bateson, Denise (Harry) Hawk.
 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joy Reed; a sister, Anna Bell Haines; two brothers, Kermit and Phillip Bateson.

Memorial contributions may be made in Joetta’s memory to the Human Society of Greene County at 183 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. (724) 499-5181 A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend John Poling, officiating. A graveside service will follow at Oakmont Cemetery, Waynesburg, PA.
