Jeffrey Blair Lahew

Jeffrey Blair Lahew, age 63, of Waynesburg, passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024, with his wife by his side until the end, due to complications of a motor vehicle accident in December.

Born November 14, 1960, in Waynesburg, son of the late William B. and Gertrude (Cox) Lahew.

Jeffrey was a Greene County resident his whole life. He graduated from West Greene High School in 1978. Jeffrey married Shelley Gorby on July 25, 1990, and they were happily married for 33 years. He was employed with International Paper as an Assistant Machine Operator for eight years until his passing. Jeffery loved nature, snakes, and bugs. He also loved building art with rocks. Jeffrey had a lifelong passion for playing pool, especially with his nephew, Bucky. He enjoyed walking in the woods with his buddy Jack by his side.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two stepchildren, Randy (Heather) Rohm, of West Finley and Jason (Kelly Dadisman) Rohm, of Aleppo; five grandchildren, Cody, Elizabeth, Abigail, Kenzi, and Henley Rohm; two siblings, Stanley “Peeper” Lahew, of Cameron, WV and Pamela Jane Clark, of Holbrook; nieces and nephews, Thomas (Tiffany) Medlick, Samuel Loughman, Belynda (Chuck) Beatty, Jodi Vega, Shelly Mankey, Larry Mankey, Marci Snee, Tracy Lahew, William “Bucky” (Kristine) Lahew, and Veronica Lahew; his four legged children and his best buddy Jack.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four siblings, Connie Loughman, Thelma “PeeWee” Mankey, Joanne Medlick, and William Jack Lahew; one nephew, Randy Pfifer.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM in Rosemont Cemetery, Center Twp., with Stewart Hallam, officiating. A gathering will be held with food directly after at the Center Twp. Fire Department, 3374 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Waynesburg, PA 15370.
