Jay W. Ringer, Jr., 59, of Rices Landing, Pa. died unexpectedly at 12:30 p.m. at his home, Thursday, August 19, 2010, though in failing health for the past several years.He was born March 11, 1951 in Washington, Pa. a son of the late Jay William and Marie Allen Ringer, Sr., and was raised from 16 months of age by his grandparents, the late Charles and Daisy Ringer.Mr. Ringer had lived most of his life in the Ruff Creek area and had been a resident of Rices Landing since February 2005.He enjoyed the time with his wife and family, fishing, hunting, computer games and watching old (John Wayne) westerns.Mr. Ringer had a pet dog, Rusty, that was always by his side.On August 2, 1983 he married Donna Darlene Galloway who survives.Also surviving are two sons, Jay W. Ringer III, husband of Christine Ringer and Charles, husband of Amanda Ringer both of Waynesburg; a daughter, Jayan, wife of Robert Keller of Rices Landing; three brothers, John W. Ringer, David, husband of Rosemary Ringer and Jason, husband of Missy Ringer all of Waynesburg; five sisters, Sandy, wife of Mickey Ardeno of Ruff Creek, Lisa, wife of Kevin Temple and Lynda Stiles both of Carmichaels, Lori Ringer of North Carolina and Julie, wife of Leigh White of Waynesburg; a special niece, Sherry Galloway of Waynesburg and several other nieces and nephews; five grandchildren, Daisy and Sarah Morris and Roger Lee Morris, Jr., Whitney Ringer and Jay W. Ringer, IV.
