Jacob P. (Pat) Stoneking

Jacob P. (Pat) Stoneking, age 88, of Waynesburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the Donnell House, Washington PA.

Born July 14, 1928, in Jacobsburg, Ohio, he is the son of the late William Patrick and Lucy Frances (Haught) Stoneking. Pat graduated in 1946 from Waynesburg High School.

He was employed 42 years with Columbia Gas Distribution in Waynesburg, PA as a meter reader. He was a resident of Waynesburg and Greene County most of his life. Pat was a member of the Pursley Baptist Church in Oak Forest, PA. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, working on vehicles and wood working. Pat liked spending time camping at Laurel Highland campground in Donegal, PA. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Bowling team in Waynesburg, and a member of the Senior Citizens in Blacksville, WV. Pat was also a member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge #461.

Surviving are three children, Patrick Earl Stoneking, of Morehead, KY, Barbara Jane Gump, of Waynesburg, PA, and James Michael (Sharon) Stoneking, of Springfield, OH; one step- daughter, Melody Robin Russell of Waynesburg, PA; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Lou Clark Stoneking; three sisters, Mary Kathryn Tennant, Margaret Bland and Anna Belle Jones.

Friends will be received on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. (724) 499-5181 A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jim Galbraith, officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Twp., PA.
