Jackie "Jack" E. Debolt

Jackie “Jack” E. Debolt, age 67, of Center Township, PA, passed away after battling lung cancer on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 while under the care of Waynesburg Health & Rehabilitation. 

Born August 12, 1949, in New Freeport, PA, he is the son of the late James and Betty (Wyckoff) Debolt.

Jack is a lifelong resident of Greene County. He was drafted in to the U.S. Army in 1969 and then re-enlisted serving his country for a total of 5 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post # 330, in Waynesburg, PA, the V.F.W Post # 4793 in Waynesburg, PA, and was the past commander of the D.A.V in Waynesburg, PA. In August of 1991 he married his loving wife Carol and together they raised five children. Jack retired from Dynamic Transport where he was a truck driver and stone slinger operator for concrete foundations. He had a 1949 Chevy truck that he enjoyed tinkering with. His dog Dixie Rose, was his sidekick and faithful companion. Jack enjoyed landscaping his yard and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is his wife, Carol Debolt, of Center Township, PA; five children, Brian E. Debolt, of Cameron, WV, Bruce A. (Suzanne) DeBolt, of Glen Dale, WV, Molina (Jody) Starkey, of Fairview, WV, Joni Jobes, of Cameron, WV, and Toni (Jeremy) Holoka, of Spraggs, PA; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; five siblings, James DeBolt, of New Freeport, PA, Richard DeBolt, of New Freeport, PA, Pete (Maxine) DeBolt of Silver Hill, WV, Marne “Sis” Simpson, of Waynesburg, PA, and Charolette Pecjak, of Carmichaels, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings; Johnny, Linda, and Roger Debolt; and aunt, Mickey (Wyckoff) Strope.
Family and Friends may be received on Saturday, May 13, 2017, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy. Rogersville, PA 15359. 724-499-5181. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Vernon Kay Berdine, officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Hutchinson Cemetery, Springhill Twp., PA.
