Iris M. Deitt

Iris M. (Nelson) Deitt, age 63, of West Alexander, PA passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Washington Health System Greene, with her loving family by her side.

Born May 8, 1954, in Lubeck, Germany, she was the daughter of Gene and Ingrid (Hartkoph) Nelson, of West Alexander, PA.

Iris was a resident of Washington County for the past 50 years. She was a 1973 graduate of McGuffey High School, where she was in the band and on the basketball team. Iris received an award for the Presidential Physical Fitness Program. She married James Alan Deitt on September 25, 1987. Iris attended First Christian Church in West Alexander, PA. She loved to be outdoors with her pet horses, ponies, cats, dogs, and feeding the birds, while spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Stacy (Myra) Deitt and Jayme (Clayton) Deitt, both of West Alexander, PA.
