Helena Galentine

Helena Galentine, age 96, of Aleppo, passed away, Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Personal Care at Evergreen, Washington.

Born April 14, 1927, in Richhill Twp. daughter of the late Peter Bradley and Mary Alice (Pelkey) Rhome.

She was a resident of Aleppo Twp. since 1964. Helena graduated from Richhill Twp. High School in 1945. She was a member of Crabapple Community Church, Wind Ridge. Helena married Rex Eugene Galentine on July 6, 1964, and they were happily married for 37 years until his passing on October 4, 2001. She was formerly employed with Jessop Steel in Washington and with Waynesburg College in their office as a Registrar for ten years.

She is survived by her son, David Keith (Karen) Galentine, of Canonsburg; sister, Betty N. Whipkey, of Moundsville, WV and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by seven siblings, Georgia McQuay, Wilnetta Aston, William Leslie Rhome, Albert Monroe Rhome, Hazel Thomas, Mary G. Preston, and Flossie Schrack.
