Glenn Rex Kennedy

Glenn Rex Kennedy, age 89 of Carmichaels formerly of Aleppo, PA passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, at home with his wife Diane Kennedy by his side.

He was born on May 27, 1932, in Aleppo, PA the son of the late E.M. Kennedy and Leona (Brown) Kennedy.

Glenn graduated from Rogersville High School in 1950. He joined the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Glenn was a member of the Aleppo Brethren Church, a former Commander of the American Legion Post 18 of Cameron, WV for several years. He served as a member of the West Greene School Board for 6 years.

He worked for DUMN-MAR Oil & Gas Company for 31 years. Glenn then was a general manager for IAMA Petroleum for 7 years, until his early retirement due to heart problems. He worked for U.S. Security for Cumberland/Emerald Coal Mines until full retirement in 2002.

On September 10, 2012, Glenn married Diane (D’Angelo) Kennedy and they were happily married for 9 years.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Brenda Lee (Kennedy) (Tim) Carroll of Orange Park, FL, and four grandchildren: Terra Rose Herrod, C.J. Herrod, Sarah and Justin Kennedy; one sister, Shirley Lawrence of Lancaster, PA.

In addition to his parents, Glenn is proceeded in death by five brothers, Robert, Denzel, Clyde, Ralph, and Tom Kennedy, three sisters, Goldie, Margret, and Lucille Kennedy, a son, Bruce Edward Kenndy, two daughters, Beth Ann (Kennedy) Herrod, and Jennifer Stern from a previous marriage of Frankie Mae (Crowe) Kennedy.

All services are private and have been entrusted to the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone: 724-499-5181.
