George C. Orndoff, Jr.

George C. Orndoff, Jr., age 93, of Waynesburg, passed away, Saturday, October 7, 2023, in his home.

Born January 28, 1930, in Waynesburg, son of the late George C. Orndoff, Sr.

George was a Greene County resident most of his life. He was a former member of WWJD Christian Center in Waynesburg. George was employed with J&L Steel as a Laborer for 16 years until his retirement in 1970. He served in the United States Army as a Medic during the Korean War. George was a member of the VFW Post #4793. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.

He is survived by two children, Herman (Velma) Orndoff, of Carmichaels and Karl (Brenda) Orndoff, of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren, Billy Kuhn, Daniel Patterson, Kody Orndoff, Heather Orndoff, Robert Orndoff, Nicholas Orndoff, and Terissa Orndoff; many great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three siblings, Carl Orndoff, Paul Orndoff, and Mary Ellen Orndoff, all of Gumptown.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by, three children, Albert Orndoff, Robert Orndoff, and Rosie Durbin; two siblings, Betty Orndoff and Pattie Basinger; brother-n-law, Cecil Basinger.
