Emmajo Breese

Emmajo Breese, age 81, of Claysville, PA, passed away at home on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.

Born September 17, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Earl Levi and Evelyn Hester (Supler) Martin.

Emma graduated from Claysville High School in the class of 1954. On February 23, 1957 she married Homer D. Breese who passed away August 2015. She was born and raised in Greene County then moved to Washington County where she spent the last 60 years of her life. She started college at the age of 48 and attended B.M. Spurr- Nursing School in Glendale, WV. She retired from Washington County Health Center in 1997 after 11 years of employment. Emma was the proud owner and operator of Breese Personal Care Home for over 50 years where she cared for many residents. Emma was a devoted member of the Rolling Hills Chapel Church in Claysville, PA. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. Her biggest passion in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her six children, Jeffrey D. (Vickie) Breese, of Claysville, PA, Kathy J. (John) Shape, of Cassville, PA, Keith E. Breese, of Claysville, PA, Tammy L. (Tim) Pattison, of Claysville, PA, Lorena D. (Tom) Pattison, Washington, PA, and Bradley L. (Kim) Breese, of Phoenixville, PA; 17 grandchildren, Jeffrey (Zoe) Breese, Bobbie Jo (Chad) Teagarden, Bradley (Keriann) Richmond, Leah Shape, Katie Breese, Phillip (Sandy) Breese, Brian (Naomi) Breese, Michelle (Jeff) Savage, Timmy (Noelle) Pattison, Dwayne (Heather) Pattison, Marina Hanes, Brittany (Jeff) Madoni, Ryan (Jill) Pattison, Marissa (Jeff) Pattison, Danielle (Larry) Gasperone, Jake Breese, and Dawn (Justin) Greenleaf; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mona Lou (Floyd) Beatty, of Claysville, PA and Sandy (Bob) Boyle, of Columbiana, OH; one brother, Bill (Carol) Martin, of Washington, PA; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Stephen M. Breese and John Ray Carr; three brothers, Donley Martin, Edward Martin, and Dave Martin.

Friends will be received on Saturday, January 13, 2018, from 2-8 P.M. at the Rolling Hills Chapel Church, 214 Timber Lake Rd., Claysville, PA, 15323. A funeral service will be held at the church on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jill Briggs and Rev. Paul Thomas, co-officiating. A graveside service will follow at Claysville Cemetery, Claysville, PA.
