Douglas D. Main, 56, of Center Twp., Greene Co., Pa., died at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the UPMC Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. after being in failing health since 2007. He was born February 18, 1958 in Waynesburg, Pa. a son of Alberta Margaret (Sis) Stockdale Main of Center Twp. and the late Charles Dean Main and had been a resident of Center Twp. all his life. Mr. Main was a member of the Willow Grove Independent Baptist Church where he was serving as a trustee, and formerly served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, junior church leader and assisted in the nursing home ministry as long as his health permitted. He was a 1976 graduate of West Greene High School. Mr. Main was referred to as a gentleman farmer and a member of the Hargus Creek Bluegrass Band. He was last employed as a precision mason at Emerald Mine in Waynesburg for over 28 years prior to retiring due to ill health in 2006. On December 22, 1977 he married Mary F. Richter who survives. Also surviving in addition to his mother and wife are two sons, Jacob and Joel Main, both at home; a daughter, Randi Beth, wife of Robert Inmon of Lawrenceville, Ga.; two grandchildren, Mason and Ellie Inmon; twin brothers, Kevin B., Main of Gilbert, Az.and Keith, husband of Rhonda Main of Owego, N.Y.; a sister, Deanna, wife of Robert Kirgan of Rogersville; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc., Rogersville, Pa and from 12 noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 in the Willow Grove Independent Baptist Church with Pastor Scott A. Blair III officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Center Twp.
