Donley R. “Don” Weaver, age 71, of Holbrook, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Waynesburg Health & Rehab, Waynesburg, PA.
Born on December 15, 1945 in Jackson Twp., PA, he is the son of the late Ray “Bus” and Anna Katherine (Utt) Weaver.
Don was an avid outdoorsman that loved to go deer and turkey hunting every year. He also enjoyed trips to his cabin. Don was a timber cutter for many timber companies in western Greene county, the last being Berdine's Custom Hardwoods. He was fond of the timber and sawmill industry. Don also worked for Greenridge Oil & Gas Company as a well tender until becoming disabled in 1993.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ellen Fern (Cunningham) Weaver, of Holbrook, PA; four children, Annette (Cecil) Hennen, of Holbrook, PA, Donley G. (Eve) Weaver, of Graysville, PA, Randy Weaver, of Holbrook, PA, and Nathan Weaver, Holbrook, PA; grandchildren, Donovan “Bubby” Lee Weaver and J.P. (Madison) Hennen; great-grandchild, Liam Hennen; two brothers, John Weaver and Charles “Bub” Weaver, both of New Freeport, PA; brother-in-law, Ralph “PI” Cunningham; sister-in-law, Betty Jean (Morris) Weaver; also many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Savannah Hennen; two sisters, Edna Mae (Weaver) Main and Betty Lee (Weaver) Cunningham; one brother, Ralph Weaver; brother-in-law, Arthur R. Main, Jr.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Vernon Kay Berdine, officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery, Jackson Twp.
