Donald Edward Lemasters, age 70, of Waynesburg, PA, passed away at home with his family by his side on Friday, July 14, 2017.
Born April 18, 1947 in Aleppo Township, PA, he is the son of the late George W. and Mildred (Bryner) Lemasters.
Donald attended West Greene High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army as an E-1 during the Vietnam War and stationed in Korea. Donald was a member of the Waynesburg V.F.W. Post #4793. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting as well as collecting guns, knives and anything with wolves on it. Donald worked as a laborer on dairy farms in Kentucky and Pennsylvania and at Waynesburg Floral for three years. He loved watching John Wayne westerns, M*A*S*H and The Walton’s on television.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Christina (Saylor) Lemasters, of Waynesburg, PA; six children, Carol Yoss, Marie McCracken, Ronald (Billie Jo) Lemasters, Amber (John) Kraft, James Lemasters, Donna (Chris) Myers; four step-children, Kenny Kirby, Larry (Isabel) Kirby, Sheila (Dave) Wendl, Jayson (Kathryn) Kirby; 20 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eileen Lemasters; nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his three brothers, George W. Lemasters, Jr., Kenneth W. Lemasters and Robert L. Lemasters.
Friends will be received on Monday, July 17, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359. (724) 499-5181 Donald E. Lemasters will be viewed with his brother Robert L. Lemasters, who passed away on July 15, 2017. Their funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Vernon Kay Berdine and Chaplin David McElroy, officiating. Interment will be held with full military honors on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY.
