Dean F. Crouse

Dean F. Crouse, age 63, of Prosperity, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 31, 1963, in Waynesburg, son of Thomas Franklin and Ruth Louise (Ealy) Crouse, of Prosperity.

Dean had been a resident of Morris Township his whole life. He graduated from Washington High School in 1984. Dean was a member of Union Valley United Methodist Church, where he was an usher. He was involved in the special Olympics when he was younger. Dean loved taking care of his chickens, helping his dad outside, especially when he got to drive the tractor, polishing his bicycle in his shed, and going to the fair and filling the water buckets for the sheep. His family are grateful for the staff and people of Waynesburg Nursing and Rehabilitation who took care of Dean in the last months.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother, Dale (Debbie) Crouse, of Prosperity.; two nieces, Elizabeth (Connor) Romestan, of Claysville and Emma Crouse, of Prosperity; his aunt, Betty (Crouse) Bristor, of Waynesburg; an uncle, Larry Anderson, also of Waynesburg; several cousins; and his good friend, Carla Clutter, of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Sarah Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Breese) Crouse; maternal grandparents, Brinton Ealy, Eleanor (Cain) Ealy and Thomas Wilson.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 11-1 PM at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC. 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy PO Box 434 Rogersville, PA 15359. Telephone:724-499-5181, where a funeral service will be held directly after with Pastor Scott Lawrence, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, East Finley Twp.
