David Kenneth Lund

David Kenneth Lund,76, of Aleppo Twp., Greene County, Pa. died on Saturday, June 29, 2025 at 1:40 am in his home after being in failing health for the past several years.

He was born January 4, 1949 in Onega, Kansas, a son of the late Joseph Wallace and Evelyn Walberg Lund, and had resided In Greene County since 1988.

Mr. Lund was a graduate of Beaumont (CA) High School in 1967 and was also a graduate of the Grace College and Seminary in 1973, and had served in the ministry for over 35 years prior to retiring due to ill health.

He was the Pastor at the Sugar Grove Union Bible Church In the village of McCracken and was the former Pastor at the Aleppo Brethren Church in Aleppo, and he was a school teacher and soccer coach prior to entering the ministry.

Mr. Lund was loved and prayed for many, he himself was a man of prayer, loved serving the Lord, even during difficult times and years of chronic health issues.

He enjoyed studying the Bible, wood working, auto mechanics and antique automobiles.

On May 28, 1972 he married Millie Courtwright who survives.

Also surviving are 3 sons, David T. (Sarah) Lund, of Wind Ridge, Pa., Thaddeaus. (Sjuan) Lund of Pensacola, Fl. and Nathanael (Kimberly) Lund, of Jemison, Ala.; 8 grandchildren, Tavis Joseph (Grace) Lund, Keenan (Sydney) Lund, Erick (Leslee) Lund, Julia, Kolby David Lund, Kaitlyn and Michaela Lund and Nathanael Lund, Jr.; a brother, Joseph (Dianne) Lund of Florida and a sister, JoAnn Kilday; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents is a sister, Elaine Hart.

At the request of the family there will be no public viewing. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon and until time of funeral services at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 5, 2025 in the Sugar Grove Union Bible Church in the village of McCracken, with Pastor Ralph Koffler officiating. Interment will follow in Centennial Cemetery, Aleppo Twp.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Sugar Grove Union Bible Church, in care of Kay Stern, 2415 Husky Hwy., Fairmont, W.Va. 26554.
